To trigger Scenes via MIDI you need to use MIDI channel 11. The MIDI config
does take some learning purely because it’s so powerful. Get used to using
different MIDI channels for different tasks. Check page 10 of manual…
    hope that helps.

It modelled on the MPC note repeat, but it’s not exactly the same. Try the
    demo 🙂

Hey nice video. I’m interested in that “SP1200 Vol.2” pack that I can see
there. Is it some sound pack? Where can I get information about it?

Question? I loaded another sample on engine 2 but my mpd18 wont trigger the
sample when i hit the pad. it just plays the slices I did on engine 1. how
    do i fix this?

Haha, I stumbled on this video again. So I started making more and more
sample beats and I’m trying to use Geist standalone without studio one. So
far I only used it for the slicer but if I try to record someething into
Geist directly I really don’t get along with the pattern view. I take it
Quantization is off? But after I record everything sits right in the middle
of the step? Is it just visually represented that way? It seems though that
Quantization does nothing? Is there a way to just record without quantize?
I usually use quantization only on selected midi notes because I try to
give the grooves a loose feel.

I absolutely love Geist. Other beatmaking tools may on paper have more
features and bells and whistles but this plugin is incredibly deep when you
get into it. From an old school MPC 2000 background it just seems to work
how I want it to work, do the things I need it to without being some huge
behemoth. As well as for chopped hiphop-style beats it’s the only third
party drum machine plugin I use as sounds are so endlessly and easily
    tweakable.
