Studio one reads my keyboard (Novation Xiosynth) and registers it as an external device but then when I switch on the keyboard no sound comes from anything anymore. My laptop just stops making sound. Any advice, anyone?

If there’s sound on this video I cant hear it cos the presonus audiobox itwo i purchased recently doesn’t work – after seeming to be working properly for a few days (a week maybe) it packed up altogether. And I am not alone here, there a lots of posts on presonus forums saying the same thing – and it looks like this has been the case for over a year. A lot of different fixes have been tried – and some of them have worked for a while – but the fixes haven’t solved the problem for very long – after a few days presonus audio box users have ended up once again with the deafening sound of silence coming out of their expensive studio monitors. I’m currently after getting my money back from presonus – cos they seem incapable of resolving this issue – and to add insult to injury – they are still selling these systems. If anyone here has any advice on this issue I would be happy to hear it. (Next stop Sound on Sound who’s review of these systems skipped over the inconvenient fact that they don’t work.)

Connected an Akai LPK25. MIDI signal coming in (MIDI-monitor), instrument gives sound with keys on the screen, LPK everywhere selected as input (on how many places do you need to confirm this?). No sound. Almost all software does this without issues. Not so PreSonus. Can’t recommend this. BTW the LPK25 is not quite new and/or exotic, and how come this problem perseveres for years?
