I’ve set up a 16 track template (as I do in Ableton) with 3 FX Channels with sends etc all painlessly. The thing is, if I “replace” and instrument on a track – I need to then re-map my midi cc’s for that track. Is there a way to replace the instrument/vst whilst still keeping that track’s midi mapping??

Still cannot get the keyboard to work. Neiter send or receive shows it. Always says none. No other choices. I use the M-audio Oxygen 25. Not in the list. So tried this several times. I just need to be able to play the keyboard so I can make use of the synths in Studio One Artist. Why doesn’t the software recognize that their’s a keyboard controller plugged in via usb? My other DAW picks it up instantly. No issues no set up hassles and has midi learn for setting up the more advanced features. But I just need to play the keyboard. What am I missing? it’s got to be something basic.

    Hi Robert
My studio one 2 pro is not finding my MIDI controller any more. I have done lot of work with it in the past. Just happened today.
    specs are as under:
    WINDOWS 7……. 64 bit
MIDI controller connected by USB cable not MIDI Cable
So far I have tried the following:
clicking studio one options and external device set up. removing exisiting device and added again my MIDI controller. Selected out device to be UA-4FX the interface. This is what I always do whenever it is not detected.
it did not work this time please help.rgds

great video. been trying to set up in studio one and everything is just a long process. I still can’t use my stutter edit in there easily so I keep having to go back to logic to add some spice to my tracks. otherwise the best tutorial I have seen so far. thank you and keep up the good work.

How do i map an encoder for use as song transport? The PreSonus FaderPort should work like that. Do they connect their big knob internally somehow? I don’t see the option to turn a control to an encoder, just button knob fader.
