I know my question might be stupid, but i wanna know if this DAW is good to make electronic music? I mean Tech House, House, Techno. Since i like to play myself the VST instruments, not using pre-made loops. I come from Ableton. Thanks in advance.

Sonar is awesome, you get ridiculous value for your money. The Pro channel rocks the socks off Ableton in my opinion and it’s not a one trick pony, acoustic instruments and vocal processing is superior.

I just upgraded from X1. Man, love the tape emulation (ProCh too) thing…nicely impacts the color and feel. Particularly in old school stuff. Blues/rock.  Still some tweaking but it aint squeekin!  Found the vid helpful.

I  up – graded to Sonar X3 Studio just for the Pro Channel. I do see Pro Channel but I’m unable to open the Fly Out. I don’t see the double right arrows on Pro Channel. Is the issue with my settings somewhere or is this function only available with Producer?   Thanks Much!
